Rajinikanth's Biography -

Rajinikanth was born on 12 December 1950 in a Marathi family. His mother's name was Ramabai and father's name was Ramoji Rao, his father was a police constable and mother's housewife of Bangalore. Shivaji Rao was named after the Maratha warrior, Chhatrapati Shivaji. They used to talk at home in Marathi and outside Kannada in childhood. The ancestors of Rajinikanth were present in the village near the Jejuri of Pune, Mavdi was a tough stone. Rajni is the smallest among four brothers and sisters. After his father retired in 1956, his family moved to Hanumant Nagar in Bangalore and built a house for him. When Rajni was only 9 years old, he lost his mother.
At the age of 6, Rajni was admitted to Gavipuram Government Kannada Model Primary School, where he received elementary education. From his childhood, he was very smart and had a great interest in cricket, football, and basketball. At the same time, his brother had put him in Ramakrishna Math. In the monastery, he also practiced the Vedas, Indian history, which resulted in the transformation of spirituality inside him. Once in the monastery, while making a drama of Mahabharata, he became a friend of Eklavya. The people also praised their performance in the drama. In particular, Kannada poet D.R. Bendre praised his performance. After 6th grade, he was admitted to Acharya Pathshala Public School. While studying at Acharya school he worked in several plays. Once in the drama of Kurukshetra, he played the role of Duryodhana. After completing his studies, Rajni has done many jobs in Bangalore and Madras.




Rajinikanth's family and personal life -

Rajinikanth married a student of Athiraj College, who had interviewed him for the college magazine. His marriage took place on February 26, 1981, in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. Today, he has two daughters, Aishwarya Rajinikanth, and Saundarya Rajinikanth. Rajinikanth's wife runs a school named "The Ashram".
Rajinikanth's daughter Aishwarya married on October 18, 2004, with actor Dhanush. His younger daughter Saundariya is a director, producer and graphic designer in the Tamil film industry. On 3 September 2010, he married industrialist Ashwin Ramkumar.

Rajinikanth Award and Respect

Rajinikanth has got many awards for many of his films, he has got most of the award for Tamil films only. In 1984, Rajinikanth got the Kalaimamani Award and the MGR Award in 1989, both were given by the Tamil Nadu Government. In 1995, the South Indian Film Artists Association awarded him the Kalachhalav Award. The Indian government also honored him with Padma Bhushan in 2000 and Padma Vibhushan in 2016. NDTV declared him the Entertainer of the Year in 2007.
In the same year, the Maharashtra government honored him with the Raj Kapoor Award. Rajinikanth was declared the most influential South Asia person by Asia week. In 2010, Forbes India named him the most influential and famous person in India and in 2011 NDTV honored him with the Entertainer of the Decade Award. In December 2013 NDTV included them in the list of "25 Global Living Legends"



Rajinikanth Unknown Interesting Facts:

  1. Shivaji is the first film directed by Shankar and it is the first Tamil film to be topped at the box office in the United Kingdom and South Africa.
  2. In 1985, this superstar completed 100 films and in the film of Mr. Raghavendra, he played the role of Hindu Saint Raghavendra Swamy.
  3. Rajinikanth's parents were named Jijabai and Ramoji Rao Gaikwad, who was a Maharashtrian couple and lived in Bangalore and the real name of Rajni is Shivaji Rao Gaekwad.
